Said Musa - Former Prime Minister of Belize

The Hon. Dr. Said Musa served as Belize’s Prime Minister from 1998-2008. Over the past twenty-five years, Dr. Musa has also served the Belizean people as Attorney General; and as Minister of Education; of Foreign Affairs; of Economic Development; and of Sports and Culture. In the first years of Belize’s independence, he also worked on the committee that wrote the Belizean Constitution. He won four general elections as the representative of the Fort George constituency of Belize City until retiring from active politics in 2020.

Samuel Hinds - Former Prime Minster of Guyana

The Hon. Mr. Samuel Hinds served as Prime Minister of Guyana almost continuously from 1992 to 2015. He also briefly served as President of Guyana in 1997. He was awarded Guyana's highest national award, the Order of Excellence in 2011. Prior to politics, his early career and education were in Chemical Engineering.

Tillman Thomas - Former Prime Minister of Grenada

The Hon. Mr. Tillman Thomas served as Prime Minister of Grenada from 2008 to 2013. In addition to being Prime Minister, Thomas took the portfolios of Foreign Affairs, Legal Affairs, National Security, Information, and Public Administration. While in office, he promised and promoted openness and transparency of government and political inclusion. He was also the leader and founding member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from 2000 to 2014.

Edison Chenfil James - Former Prime Minister of Dominica 

The Hon. Edison James served as Prime Minister of Dominica from 1995 - 2000. He also founded Dominica's United Workers Party in 1988, and has served as a member of Parliament since 1990, leading his party as the Opposition Leader in the early 2000s. He rose to prominence in Dominica first as manager of the Dominica Banana Marketing Company in which he was instrumental in resuscitating the island's critical banana industry which had been decimated by hurricanes.

Basdeo Panday - Former Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago

The Hon. Basdeo Panday served Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago from 1995 to 2001. He is the former Chairman and party leader of the United National Congress, and was appointed leader of the Opposition party four times during his career. Earlier in his career, Mr. Panday served as the Minister of External Affairs and International Trade, coming from a background as a lawyer, economist, actor, and advisor to a number of Trade Unions that fought for workers' rights.

Donald Ramotar - Former President of Guyana

The Hon. Donald Ramotar was President of Guyana from 2011 to 2015. He has been the General Secretary of the People's Progressive Party (PPP) since 1997, also representing the party on numerous occasions overseas. He was a member of the ACP- EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly and serving member of Guyana’s National Assembly since 1992. Mr. Ramotar also served on several Corporate Boards.

Stephenson King - Former Prime Minister and Incumbent Minister of Infrastructure of St. Lucia

The Hon. Stephenson King served as Prime Minister of St. Lucia from 2007 to 2011 and is St. Lucia’s current Minister of Infrastructure. He previously served as Minister of Community Development and Sport, Minister of Health and Local Government, and Minister of Finance, International Financial Services, External Affairs, Home Affairs and National Security. King entered active politics after leading the youth arm of the United Workers Party and then as President of the Caribbean Federation of Youth.

Kenny Anthony - Former Prime Minister of St. Lucia

The Hon. Dr. Kenny Anthony served as Prime Minister of St. Lucia from 1997 to 2006 and again from 2011 to 2016. Between these positions, he was appointed as Leader of the Opposition. His early career included being a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, and as the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat’s General Counsel, based in Guyana.
